A screening is a 30-minute call between the patient and one of our volunteer therapists — often you. It’s our way of understanding someone’s current challenges, background, and expectations, and deciding whether Iguality is the right fit to support them.

The list of questions is provided to you when you take on a screening. You will submit the screening through a form that includes all the questions. Notes can be in English or Spanish, depending on the context.

If the person seems eligible, the information you gather during this call will help guide the therapist who eventually starts the case — which may well be you!

Always finish with warmth and clarity — even if we can’t offer support, the call should feel like a supportive moment.
