Every session must be logged using the session form: iguality.fillout.com/companionship-session.
You'll receive this link at the start of the programme. Logging is a small but important part of your role as a Companionship Volunteer. Here's why it matters:
- It helps us support you and your Buddy better. If something comes up in a session log, we can follow up, offer guidance, or step in where needed.
- It protects everyone. A clear record of sessions, including any concerns flagged, is essential for safeguarding purposes.
- It enables us to keep running the programme. Iguality is funded by grants that require us to demonstrate impact with real data. Every session logged is evidence that the programme is working.
- It keeps the pair on track. Logging helps you and the coordination team notice if sessions are becoming infrequent or if something is shifting.
What to log:
- Date and location of the session
- What you did together
- How it went (a brief note is enough)
- Any concerns or issues - including safeguarding flags
Missed sessions should also be logged through the same form. If your Buddy misses 2 sessions without communication, flag this to the coordination team - we'll follow up and decide on next steps together.
