At Iguality, we believe that movement is a key part of both physical and mental wellbeing. Recent research shows that regular physical activity can help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, improve mood, and boost overall mental health (World Health Organization, 2022). That’s why we’re expanding our sports activities in Barcelona and Catalonia, making it easier for everyone to get involved, regardless of their background or experience.
Our weekly football sessions on Tuesdays at 19:15 and running sessions on Wednesdays at 19:00 are open to all. These activities are designed to be inclusive and accessible, whether you’re a local, a migrant, young, old or of whatever gender you identify with. Team sports like football and group activities such as running and cycling not only support physical health but also help people connect, build friendships, and feel part of a community (Harvard Health Publishing, 2021).
In addition to our regular sessions, we organise ad-hoc events like hiking and cycling, offering even more ways to get moving and meet new people. Everyone is welcome, and there’s no need to worry about your fitness level or experience. By joining us, you’ll have the chance to look after your mental and physical health while getting to know great people in a supportive environment.
