Key Ambassadors
Our Key Ambassadors are people with an exceptional reach and that have chosen to support us.

Dr Dorota N. Komar
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Story: Dr. Dorota N. Komar, Head of the Epigenetics Research Line at Eurecat’s Centre for Omics Sciences, is a scientist and communicator dedicated to understanding how lifestyle and environment influence epigenetic mechanisms and mental health. Her research focuses on identifying biomarkers for earlier diagnosis, while her advocacy work aims to make scientific knowledge accessible to society to reduce inequalities. Driven by the belief that science must actively improve lives, she works to bridge the gap between academia and the public, empowering individuals with meaningful information. Her commitment to mental health is both professional and personal, fueled by her own experiences and a dedication to breaking stigma. As an Iguality Key Ambassador, Dr. Komar champions equitable access to care, particularly for communities at risk of social exclusion. She leverages her platform to amplify awareness and drive systemic change, ensuring that mental health support is inclusive and available to all.

Antonia Honselmann
Location: Barcelona
Story: I'm grateful for the opportunity to intern at Iguality, as I deeply resonate with your values, especially the belief that mental health is a human right, not a privilege. As a clinical psychology student, I admire Iguality's mission and would love to contribute to this meaningful work as an ambassador.

Justin NDARA
Location: Bunia

Bizimana Bernard
Location: Burundi
Story: I am representing on behalf of Bernard Bizimana. I am the president of an association for community development and mindset change (ADCCM) in Burundi. Its aims are to run mental health awareness campaigns and to support people with mental health problems.

Naara Scheumann
Location: Barcelona
Story: I want to become an Iguality Ambassador because I deeply share its mission to make mental health care accessible to everyone. As a master's student in intercultural psychology, I have seen how Western-centric theories often overlook diverse cultural realities, which motivates my commitment to promoting culturally sensitive and inclusive psychotherapy. Joining Iguality would allow me to actively help reduce inequalities in mental health access.

Denisse Vargas
Location: Barcelona
Story: I want to join Iguality because I believe engaging in physical activity is one of the simplest, most underrated tools for mental health. I come from a background in psychology and I’ve always been drawn to practical approaches over abstract ones. Being an ambassador feels like a natural way to put this into action and help more people discover something that truly works.

Joseph Anyanwu
Location: Lagos state Nigeria
Story: A majority of people in the world suffer from serious mental health issues; as an ambassador, I aim to leverage my expertise to educate the community about the importance of mental health and the foundations of our behaviour for living a peaceful, pain-free life.

Gabo Lima
Location: Guayas Ecuador
Story: For me, mental health represents care, respect, and humanity; it means understanding that we are not always okay and that asking for help is an act of courage. Through my commitment as an International Peace Ambassador and as a professor and researcher in the health sciences, I have learned that emotional well-being is essential for a fulfilling life. Being part of Iguality allows me to contribute, with empathy and social responsibility, to accompanying those who need it most, promoting support, understanding, and hope.

Ibrahim El Ouahabi
Location: Spain
Story: I want to be an Iguality Ambassador because I believe in respect, kindness, and support for everyone. For me, mental health is very important; it means balance, inner peace, feeling understood, and helping others feel safe and valued.

Amber Lauren Makris
Location: Barcelona
Story: I support Iguality because I believe no one should have to face their struggles alone. When I learned about their work, what moved me most was the sense of dignity and humanity they protect—not through grand speeches, but through everyday compassion. Supporting Iguality is my way of saying that care should not depend on privilege, background, or luck; it should be something we all have access to. That's why I'm here—to help nurture a community where people lift each other up, where healing is shared, and where kindness is not a luxury but a principle.
