Story: For me, mental health represents care, respect, and humanity; it means understanding that we are not always okay and that asking for help is an act of courage. Through my commitment as an International Peace Ambassador and as a professor and researcher in the health sciences, I have learned that emotional well-being is essential for a fulfilling life. Being part of Iguality allows me to contribute, with empathy and social responsibility, to accompanying those who need it most, promoting support, understanding, and hope.

Story: Ik vertegenwoordig Bernard Bizimana. Ik ben voorzitter van een vereniging voor gemeenschapsontwikkeling en mentaliteitsverandering (ADCCM) in Burundi. De doelen zijn het voeren van bewustmakingscampagnes over geestelijke gezondheid en het ondersteunen van mensen met psychische problemen.

Story: I support Iguality because I believe no one should have to face their struggles alone. When I learned about their work, what moved me most was the sense of dignity and humanity they protect—not through grand speeches, but through everyday compassion. Supporting Iguality is my way of saying that care should not depend on privilege, background, or luck; it should be something we all have access to. That's why I'm here—to help nurture a community where people lift each other up, where healing is shared, and where kindness is not a luxury but a principle.

Story: Ik ben humanitair medewerker; ik werk voor een organisatie die gespecialiseerd is in de zorg voor overlevenden van gendergerelateerd geweld in de Democratische Republiek Congo, Bunia, provincie Ituri. Mijn specialisatie en focus is Gezondheid.

Story: I want to join Iguality because I believe engaging in physical activity is one of the simplest, most underrated tools for mental health. I come from a background in psychology and I’ve always been drawn to practical approaches over abstract ones. Being an ambassador feels like a natural way to put this into action and help more people discover something that truly works.

Story: Het merendeel van de wereldbevolking kampt met ernstige psychische problemen. Als ambassadeur wil ik mijn expertise inzetten om de gemeenschap te informeren over het belang van geestelijke gezondheid en de basisprincipes van ons gedrag om een vredig, pijnvrij leven te leiden.

Story: Ik ben dankbaar voor de kans om stage te lopen bij Iguality, omdat ik me enorm kan vinden in jullie waarden, met name de overtuiging dat geestelijke gezondheid een mensenrecht is, geen privilege. Als student klinische psychologie bewonder ik de missie van Iguality en zou ik graag als ambassadeur willen bijdragen aan dit betekenisvolle werk.
