Who we support and invite to join us
At Iguality, we support anyone at risk of social exclusion and those who cannot afford private mental health care.
This includes, for example, migrants and refugees who often face complex challenges such as trauma from displacement, language barriers, and the stress of navigating legal and bureaucratic systems in a foreign country. LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly in more conservative environments, often experience discrimination, violence, or rejection, leading to mental health struggles such as isolation, anxiety, and depression. Survivors of violence—whether domestic, sexual, or systemic—carry the deep emotional scars of their experiences, which can result in conditions like PTSD, depression, and feelings of helplessness. These individuals often find it difficult to access the support they need due to fear of judgment, lack of resources, or exclusion from the formal healthcare system.
Additionally, our events and sports activities are accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or financial situation. These activities, such as weekly football games, running groups, and community events, are designed to foster social connection, reduce isolation, and create a sense of belonging. By providing an inclusive environment where everyone can participate, we aim to build stronger communities and offer opportunities for individuals to connect, heal, and grow together in a supportive, non-judgmental space.
