Usage of AI

At Iguality, we are committed to ensuring the highest standards of privacy and data protection. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our services, we have incorporated AI technologies in various aspects of our work. Below, we outline how we use AI, the measures we take to protect your data, and our commitment to ethical and sustainable AI usage.

1. AI Usage Overview

We use AI to support our operational efficiency and improve the quality of our services. This includes summarising information, preparing activities, managing data, and assisting with routine tasks — all with the goal of freeing up more time for direct care and meaningful human interaction. AI is never used to replace human judgment or make final decisions about individuals. It serves as a supportive tool, always under human oversight.

2. Anonymisation of Data

All data processed by AI is anonymised. We avoid using real names and we refer to individuals using terms such as ‘patient’, ‘user’, or ‘volunteer’ to protect identities.

3. External AI Services

We use a few different AI services:

  • Airtable – Airtable offers multiple AI options; for our use, we have configured all AI fields to use Claude AI, selected for its strong privacy protections. Neither Claude nor Airtable use AI-generated data to train or improve their models.
  • Euria by Infomaniak KSuite – Our preferred and primary AI tool. Data is hosted in Switzerland, fully compliant with EU privacy standards, and never used to train external AI models. We encourage all team members to prioritise Euria over other tools, including ChatGPT.
  • **ChatG**PT – Used only for non-sensitive, general queries when our primary AI tool cannot resolve a request. Usage is limited to reduce environmental impact. No personal or sensitive data is ever processed through ChatGPT.

4. Ethical AI Usage

We adhere to strict ethical guidelines in our AI usage:

  • **No final decisions via AI: **AI-generated insights are always reviewed against original data and, where necessary, verified directly with the individuals involved.
  • **Purpose-driven usage: **AI is deployed only where it offers clear time-saving or efficiency benefits that directly support our care provision.
  • Sustainability & privacy-first: Our choice of AI providers reflects our commitment to both environmental responsibility and data protection. We prioritise tools that are hosted locally, minimise carbon footprint, and respect user privacy.
