Published on August 6, 2025
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of communities at risk of social exclusion, such as refugees, migrants, LGBTQ+ individuals or victims of domestic violence? Join us as we seek a dedicated psychologist to help shape the future of inclusive mental health care and professional training.

Geschreven door Vincent Simon van Grondelle

We are a non profit organisation offering free mental health care to refugees, migrants, LGBTQ+ individuals, victims of domestic violence and others at risk of social exclusion. Our services are delivered by a team of professional volunteer therapists, who receive ongoing guidance, training, and support from our coordination team.

We are currently seeking a psychologist to join our team in a dual role:

  • Providing regular supervision to our volunteer therapists.
  • Coordinating the clinical psychology internship program in collaboration with our academic partner, ISEP.

This is a freelance position with a stable commitment and a strong social and educational focus.

Important note: while the role is remunerated, it’s important to note that Iguality is a young, mission-driven organization working within the social sector. We are still growing and constantly improving. We’re looking for someone who embraces that reality with flexibility, understanding and a collaborative mindset, and who is eager to grow with us, take on more responsibility over time, and help shape the future of our organisation.

Verantwoordelijkheden

For the internship program:

  • Supervise groups of 4 master's students (or more groups simultaneously in the future) in Clinical and Health Psychology through weekly group supervision sessions.
  • Support the implementation of the internship program with ISEP.
  • Guide students in their professional development and integration into the mental health field.

For the volunteer supervision:

  • Facilitate weekly or bi-weekly group supervision sessions (90 minutes).
  • Offer clinical guidance, resolve doubts, and motivate our therapists.
  • Ensure ethical case management and contribute to a high-quality learning experience.
  • Be available for occasional questions via email or internal chat.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to the coordination team.

Vereisten

  • Psychologist with valid professional registration.
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience.
  • Previous experience in teaching, training, or mentoring will be valued.
  • Strong foundation in evidence-based approaches (preferably CBT).
  • Fluency in Spanish; proficiency in English will be positively valued to provide supervision in that language as well.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and supervision skills.
  • Commitment to Iguality's social and community-focused approach.
  • Be a freelancer, or willing to become one (and is aware of the administrative actions to do so)
  • Able to be in Barcelona for in-person supervision and team meetings at least once a week

Conditions

  • Reimbursement of 25 €/hour (base amount, invoice will be IVA-excluded)
  • 3-6 hours per week (with possibility of extension)
  • Freelance contract, min. 3 months with aim to work together long-term
  • Hybrid role (mainly online for now) with regular in-person activities in Barcelona
  • Start date: between September and October 2025

Procedure

To apply, please use the following link. We aim to provide personalised feedback to all applicants, but due to the high volume of expected applications, this may not be possible for everyone. However, we will inform all applicants of the outcome, whether selected for the next stage or not. The recruitment process includes two interviews, with the possibility of a third, depending on the applicants and candidate profiles.
