Equal Recruitment of Volunteers and Staff
We are committed to ensuring that our recruitment processes for both staff and volunteers are fair, transparent, and inclusive. To eliminate bias, we will:
- Utilise inclusive language in all job postings and volunteer opportunities.
- Implement standardised evaluation criteria based on merit, ensuring that no candidate is discriminated against on the grounds of gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Actively seek to recruit from underrepresented groups to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve, promoting a varied and dynamic team.
Diverse Workforce and Leadership
We are dedicated to building and maintaining a diverse workforce across all levels of our organisation. To advance this goal, we will:
- Aim for recruiting at least 50% of our volunteers, staff and board to come from diverse backgrounds, including women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other underrepresented groups.
- Implement mentorship and development programmes to support career progression for these groups, with a focus on increasing their representation in leadership roles.
- Regularly review and adjust our recruitment strategies to ensure they are effective in attracting a diverse range of candidates.
Pay Equity
In alignment with Real Decreto 902/2020, we will:
- Conduct regular, comprehensive pay audits to assess and ensure equity across all positions within the organisation.
- Address and rectify any identified disparities in compensation, ensuring fair remuneration for all employees and volunteers regardless of gender, race, or other protected characteristics.
- Transparently report on pay equity outcomes and the steps taken to address any imbalances.
