Excepción a la confidencialidad

Última actualización: 23 de octubre de 2025 a las 12:53

While Iguality is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all individuals who report concerns or incidents, there are specific circumstances in which confidentiality cannot be maintained.

Anonymous reporting is generally permitted. However, if any information received indicates that there is an immediate or serious risk of harm to the person reporting, to another individual, or to the wider community, Iguality has a duty of care to take appropriate action to protect the safety and wellbeing of those involved.

Such action may include, but is not limited to:

  • Contacting emergency services (e.g., medical, police, or fire services) to ensure immediate safety.
  • Notifying relevant authorities or safeguarding bodies when required by law.
  • Informing designated internal personnel (such as the Safeguarding Lead or General Coordinator) to coordinate a protective response.

These measures are taken solely for the purpose of preventing harm and are handled with the highest possible level of discretion and respect for all parties. Any personal information shared will be limited to what is strictly necessary to address the risk and fulfill Iguality’s legal and ethical obligations.
