How to Report a Safeguarding Concern
1. Speak to a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
If you're comfortable, reach out directly to the DSL to share or discuss your concern. They’ll support you and help decide next steps. Serious concerns are always reviewed with the Safeguarding Coordination Team, either anonymously or with your involvement — your choice. You may also contact any other member of the Coordination Team (see Safeguarding contacts).
2. Reach out to the Backup & Gender Safeguarding Lead
If you’d prefer to speak with a female staff member or someone outside the coordination team, you can contact our Backup and Gender Safeguarding Lead directly (also visible in Safeguarding contacts).
3. Use the Online Reporting Form
If you prefer not to speak to someone directly, you can submit a concern anonymously or with your name through our secure reporting form. Click here to open the form and report a concern. Only the Designated Safeguarding Lead and the Safeguarding Coordination Team can access the responses to this form.
What Happens After You Report
All reports — named or anonymous — are reviewed by the DSL and, if needed, the Safeguarding Coordination Team.
They will:
- Assess the severity of the report
- Decide on next steps and actions
- Follow up if appropriate
- Close the issue once those involved feel safe and heard
If you included your name, someone may reach out to ask questions or offer support. It’s always your choice how involved you want to be.
