The previously described duties lead to a specific list of tasks that each board member commits themselves to from the moment they agree to be a board member of Iguality. These main tasks are listed below.
- Participate in quarterly board meetings in which the organisational overall progress, (new) projects, financial situation and other general topics will be reviewed and discussed by all board members, and where it is reviewed if the organisation activities are in line with the organisation objectives described in the statutes of the organisation.
- Participate in the General Assembly meeting together with the Board and other organisational members to approve the financial documents (P&Y and Balance Sheet) of the previous year, and to review the overall yearly performance of the organisation and the management team.
- Proactively follow the actions and projects of the organisation by following the organisation on Social Media, reading the newsletter and regularly review new blog and news posts on the official website.
- Sign official correspondence and meeting minutes.
- In case of conflict in the management team, try to mediate and work towards a fair and sustainable solution to the conflict (with help from an external mediator if required).
