Emergency Situations

Last updated: September 7, 2025 at 11:26

At Iguality, the safety of the individuals we support — and your own wellbeing as a team member — is our highest priority. As part of our commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment, it is essential that everyone involved with Iguality knows how to recognize and respond to risks of harm, including self-harm, harm to others, and suicide.

If you ever have concerns about a potential risk, whether it affects a patient, a colleague, or yourself, it is crucial to act.

In non-urgent situations:
please flag the concern clearly in the Session Registration Form under the “safeguarding concern” section. Our team will review all flagged cases promptly and will follow up with appropriate support and next steps.

In urgent situations:
Do not wait — contact Iguality directly for immediate support. You or the person affected can also reach out to emergency services or crisis helplines if necessary:

  • Teléfono de la Esperanza (Spain): 717 003 717
  • Crisis Line (Spain): 024
  • Emergency Services (Catalonia and Spain): 112

A full list of suicide prevention and crisis support hotlines in Spain and Europe can also be found at Barcelona Cuidadora.
