Σύστημα απόκρισης
In the distressing event that an individual under our care has engaged in self-harm or has taken their own life, Iguality has established a comprehensive response system aimed at providing immediate support and assistance to those affected.
Contact Relevant Emergency Services
The safety and well-being of the individual are paramount. Iguality staff will swiftly contact the appropriate emergency services, such as ambulance services or law enforcement, to ensure that the individual receives urgent medical attention.
Inform Family and Friends
Following the initial response, Iguality will proceed to inform the emergency contact listed by the individual, if available. If no emergency contact is provided, we will make every effort to notify any family members or friends identified by the individual. In cases where contact information is lacking, local emergency services and municipal authorities will be engaged to assist in reaching out to next of kin.
Εσωτερική επικοινωνία
Our internal teams will be promptly notified of the incident. This ensures that all staff members are aware of the situation and can provide appropriate support to the affected individuals and their families. Transparent communication within our organisation ensures that everyone is informed of the actions taken by Iguality to support those in need.
Safeguarding Incident Reporting
The incident will be documented and classified as a Safeguarding Incident within Iguality's reporting system. Detailed records will be maintained, documenting the actions taken by Iguality to support the individual leading up to the incident. This includes any previous interventions, assessments, or observations related to the individual's well-being. Additionally, any warning signs or indications of risk will be thoroughly documented, along with the steps taken to address these concerns.
Condolences and Support
In the wake of a self-harm or suicide incident, Iguality extends its deepest condolences to the family members and friends affected by the loss. We recognise the profound impact of such events and strive to offer compassionate support to those in mourning. Iguality may reach out to provide condolences and assistance to the bereaved family members, and where appropriate, attend funeral or memorial services to express solidarity with the grieving community.
Support for Team Members
Recognising the emotional impact of such incidents on our staff, Iguality is committed to providing care and support to any team members involved in the case. We will offer counselling services, peer support, and other resources to help our staff process their emotions and cope with the challenges they may face as a result of the incident.
